Also, a recent survey of UK business travellers revealed that "the majority of business travellers are keen to hit the skies and roads again: A whopping 72% of business travellers are eager to travel'.

A DUAL TAKEOFF AS THE US REOPENS

British Airways and Virgin Atlantic joined forces to celebrate the reopening of the US last Monday with a unique show of unity. Flights BA001 and VS3 made a synchronised departure on parallel runways from London Heathrow as the US border reopened after more than 600 days. Fully vaccinated nationals of the UK can enter the US upon provision of a vaccination certificate and proof of a negative Covid-19 test result taken within 72 hours of departure.

With the US borders reopening last week, both British Airways and Virgin Atlantic have announced that they are increasing frequencies and restarting flights to a number of US destinations. British Airways is due to fly to 23 US airports this winter, with eight daily flights to New York, as well as services to Boston, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington to name a few. Virgin, meanwhile, have restarted flights from London to Las Vegas and Manchester to New York.
