We had a dreadful start, with a breakdown of Turkish Airlines (not your fault). But it would be good if you could assist us with a compensation claim for two seriously delayed flights.

Istanbul airport is a nightmare. They cannot cope with the traffic with our return flight waiting 75 minutes on the tarmac just to get a take-off slot. Recommend you advise clients to avoid lay-over there until they sort it out or at least allow for a 2 hour gap. One hour is just too tight (our luggage also missed the flight). Not your problem but think you should dissuade customers from Istanbul transfers for the time being.

You were fine, the airline wasn't! Turkish Airways arrived in Istanbul an hour late and they made no effort to help us catch the connecting flight. As a result we reached the gate just after it had closed and we had to spend a night in Istanbul.
