Every time I requested help, whether by phone or email DialAFlight's response was virtually immediate. I was travelling a working day ahead of those I contacted in the UK, yet was never materially held up by the time difference. A similar service has also occurred when the reverse was the case. The turnaround in Istanbul was very tight, especially on the return journey. I know these are connections are recommended by Turkish Airlines, but the reality is that two hours would be better and if it were longer it would not be a problem.

Warn clients that Aeroflot loses bags on transfers regularly. On the return my bag didn't make the transfer, so Business class means nothing. At Heathrow they told me I was lucky. During the summer 100 bags per flight was the norm.

The journey included transit via Beijing - this is not recommended if it involves changing terminals. In both directions it took more than 2 hours from leaving the incoming plane to reaching airside in the other terminal with endless queuing and bureaucracy and a 20 minute bus transfer in the real world.

We had problems on the return flight. Aircraft was unable to take off from Bishkek due to 'technical reasons'. Turkish did a good job with overnight accommodation but could have kept us better informed and looked after us better during the long wait
