The trip worked very well and according to plan, even if the weather was generally worse than in the UK that week. The Paradors themselves were mostly excellent venues in lovely locations and settings. The big surprise was that the quality of regional and local food in their restaurants was also excellent and reasonably priced.

It all went very smoothly. It was a good time to travel through Heathrow, no lines and no hold ups. Bilbao airport is small - easy exit and into a taxi for a short journey to town. Excellent hotel - central and easy walk to the Guggenheim. The sun even shone.
