When making reservations to the US in winter, which need a connection, bear in mind the northern city airports are sometimes closed because of snow. I had a choice of Atlanta or JFK and fortunately chose the former as JFK was shrouded in snow.

Cameron and Gino have become our Guardian Angels during our 2024 trips to the Maldives and Florida. Thanks to utterly unreliable schedules and long delays in flights to and from the Isle of Man. A recent 19 hr trip to Florida took 55 hours. This required unplanned overnight stays in London (LHR) and in New York (JFK) all arranged by DialAFlight.
